Shown here are typical installation diagrams depicting how to install a chemical bypass feeder. The goal here is to create differential pressure across the high and low side of the pump or by routing flow through the bypass feeder from bottom and out the top. It's important to create an up flow when introducing granular or powdered chemicals to prevent the chemicals from plugging the lines. The only time you will plumb a bypass feeder in the opposite direction is when a bag feeder is installed.
