Plating Line - EchoPod® was installed in multiple rinse tanks for a leading manufacturer of the aircraft industry. Each sensor was quickly retrofitted into the existing PLC system to provide alarm and refill control of the tanks. Due to the limited space and the corrosiveness of the environment, EchoPod® was a perfect fit.
Steel Tube Processing - EchoPod® was installed in a shallow, but large capacity sump that contains the waste from harsh acid bath washes. The sensor was mounted on the top of the sump through a stilling well that extends 4 feet down to the bottom. EchoPod® provided level indication back to a local display as well as control of two pumps to maintain the process.
Corrosive Small Tank Success - Since EchoPod's® introduction to the small tank market in April of 2007, we have continued to see its success in corrosive environments. Below, EchoPod® is shown in a chemical feed tank, monitoring a chlorine dioxide process. Corrosive environments like this can reduce the lifecycle of contact sensors, or cause excessive maintenance, which adds to their total installed cost. EchoPod's® non-contact approach makes it maintenance free, allowing for a longer lifecycle with increased reliability and quality. Likewise, EchoPod® is able to eliminate additional component / installation costs by providing switch, control and level capabilities in one sensor. Using EchoPod® can eliminate the need for a controller or PLC, further reducing cost without compromising your process. EchoPod® is your chemical feed, OEM skid and small tank application solution.
